Sultante of Oman, and Kuwait signed here Tuesday evening at Crown Plaza resort two memorandums of understanding (MoU), the first on technical cooperation in the domain of environmental protection, and climate affairs, and the second in the fields of sports and youth. The MoUs were signed from the Kuwaiti side by Deputy Prime Minister, and Foreign Minister Sheikh Dr. Mohammad Sabah Al-Salem Al-Sabah, and from the Omani side by Minister in charge of foreign affairs Youssef Bin Alawi Bin Abdullah, and the two sides also endorsed minutes of the fifth session of the Kuwaiti-Omani joint committee. The Kuwaiti-Omani fifth joint committee held a meeting in Salalah which was co-chaired by Omani Minister in charge of foreign affairs Youssef bin Alawi Bin Abdullah, and Kuwait Deputy Prime Minister, and Foreign Minister Sheikh Dr Mohammad Sabah Al-Salem Al-Sabah, and with the participation of a number of top officials from the two brotherly countries. The committee issued a joint communique at the close of its meeting, noting that the signing of these MoUs came under the directives made Sultan of Oman Qaboos Bin Said, and His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, and expressed their satisfaction at the progress made by the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Arab states in various fields of cooperation. Finally, the two sides reviewed all fields of political, economic, trade, industrial, judicial, and development bilateral cooperation as well as cooperation in the domains of education, media, manpower, civil services, and social development.
