CEO of the e-Government Authority Mohammed Al Qaed today revealed that the authority in cooperation with ministries and government bodies would provide more than 40 new e-Services during the upcoming phase. This Al Qaed said would raise the number of e-Services being provided to more than 280 services from various ministries and government bodies. He also highlighted the fact that such services were aimed to ease procedures and save citizens and the public's time in undertaken any service required. Moreover, he stressed providing such services would also reinforce transparency and speed in which a service is completed thus equality among citizens and avoiding the bureaucratic and complex procedures. Meanwhile, he emphasized several e-Service have a high demand among users and these included those provided by the civil service bureau, electricity and water bill payments, smart card appointments and the payment of traffic fines. He indicated that the e-Services provided by the Kingdom of Bahrain helped in raising its rank in the UN report for e-Government surpassing with that a number of EU, Asian and Gulf countries.
