A delegation from the Ministry of Labour has recently visited London's Enterprise Apps Conference and Event, Apps World 2014, seeking the best practices applied in the development of mobile applications and smart panels and learn about the future direction of technology and communications.
Speaking on the occasion, Ahmed Al Nasser said, "The visit came from the Ministry's keenness to learn and adapt to the best experiences and practices applied in the field of apps and smart phones, where the Ministry is seeking to find suitable techniques which make a quantum leap in the delivery of our e-government services in simplified procedures to our customers and to make sure we meet the directives of Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, with regards to building 24/7 smart government services." He emphasised that the exhibition was a great opportunity to get to know state-of-the-art global technological trends and exchange views and opinions on the latest and most prominent developments and changes taking place around the world in the field of smart phone applications.
The delegation was briefed on major developments that have been put forward in the field of IT communications by global telecommunication companies, and delegates also attended a number of workshops that were organised on the sidelines of the exhibition to address issues related to smart phones and apps.
The event witnessed over 8,000 attendees, 200 exhibitors from the leading solution providers and 70+ countries in attendance.
