Exhibitors at the 25th anniversary of Gitex Shopper, the Middle East's largest consumer IT and electronics show, are promising new product launches and offers across the full range of technology, communication and entertainment sectors.
The eight-day event is scheduled to take place from October 3 to 10 at Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC).
With the consumer electronics market in the UAE continuing to benefit from strong private consumption and high business confidence in the local economy, the country will remain one of the leading consumer technology markets in the Mena region.
"Gitex Shopper has enjoyed success from the show's first edition, and with this year marking the 25th anniversary of the show, anticipation among retailers and consumers is at an all-time high. Exhibitors will be unveiling deals and prizes on all the latest tech products for work, home or school," said Trixie LohMirmand, senior vice-president, DWTC. "Shoppers are guaranteed to find the best deals on the latest consumer electronics this October."
The world's top consumer IT and electronics brands have confirmed their presence, with more than 35,000 products on show. Global players such as Dell, HP, Huawei, Lenovo, Samsung and Toshiba will be among the many brands showcased.
Top regional distributors and retailers, including E-City, Emax, Jacky's, Jumbo, Max Electronics, Plug Ins and Sharaf DG, will all be running special promotions exclusively during Gitex Shopper.
C. Purushothaman, head of marketing, imaging and mobility at Samsung Gulf Electronics, said: "This is our eighth year exhibiting at the show. As the region's largest consumer electronics expo, Gitex Shopper has put us in touch with the consumers from around the region and has allowed us to introduce them to our newest products and technologies. Thanks to the platform, we take away new inspiration from shoppers to create products tailored to the region."
Mahesh Chotrani, assistant vice-president, Jacky's Electronics, said: "This year, we promise an enjoyable shopping experience and pleasant surprises."
Neelesh Bhatnagar, CEO of Emax, said: "The fact that Gitex Shopper celebrates its 25th anniversary is testament to the importance of the show for both the tech retail industry and consumers. We have been participating in Gitex Shopper for nine years.
"Shoppers to the 25th edition of Gitex Shopper can look forward to deals at exceptional value. As a technology carnival, Gitex Shopper will continue to be a driver of growth of the tech retail industry and the local economy, and will continue to enable consumers to be early adopters of tech innovations," he said.
