You know the statistic that says men think about sex every seven seconds? "There's no scientific basis for that number," says Terri Fisher, Ph.D., a researcher at the Ohio State University, Mansfield, "which we know because the bulk of the research on the subject has been done by us." For a recent study, Fisher had male and female subjects note their thoughts for a week. "On average, men thought about sex 34 times a day, or roughly once or twice an hour, compared to 19 times for women. Also, men's minds were occupied by food almost as much as by sex." A bedroom romp followed by a nice sandwich sounds good to us, too.
