The World Family Organisation (WFO) has paid a special tribute to H.H. Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of the General Women's Union (GWU), Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation (FDF) and President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, for her pioneering role in supporting the cause of family care.
This came during a special ceremony held at the sidelines of the 10th World Family Summit, currently being held in Zhuhai, China.
WFO's President Dr. Deisi Kusztra praised Sheikha Fatima's efforts towards ensuring family welfare and said, "Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak is not only the Mother of the UAE, but of all nations, thanks to her efforts in the fields of the family, mother and children's welfare, both regionally and internationally." Minister of Social Affairs Mariam Mohammed Khalfan Al Roumi received the WFO Plaque from Dr. Kusztra during the ceremony.
The 7th World Family Summit was held in Abu Dhabi in 2011 at Sheikha Fatima's behest.
