H.H. Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of the General Women's Union, Supreme President of the Family Development Foundation, and President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, has granted free subscriptions at the newly-opened Al Ain Ladies Club for all families of the nation's martyrs.
The move reflects Sheikha Fatima's keen interest in providing full support to these families in appreciation of the martyrs' sacrifices, said Dr. Maytha bint Salem Al Shamsi, Minister of State, who opened the club in the presence of women leaders and senior officials.
Sheikha Fatima supports the interests of women in the UAE and beyond. Such projects help increase awareness of the importance of sports and physical exercise, she said.
The UAE, Al Shamsi added, has a firm belief in women's effective role in society.
The new club, which also serves as a social, cultural and leisure centre, is set to contribute towards promoting sports and a healthy lifestyle.
