Dr. Amal Abdullah Al Qubaisi, Speaker of the Federal National Council (FNC), accompanied by Abdulaziz Al Zaabi, Second Deputy Speaker, visited the victims of the Kandahar terrorist attack at the Al Mafraq hospital on Monday.
Several UAE citizens died and many others were injured while they were supervising the implementation of the developmental, charitable and humanitarian projects in Afghanistan.
Al Qubaisi checked on the health of Juma Mohammed Abdullah Al Kaabi, the UAE's Ambassador to Afghanistan, diplomat Mubarak Al Saadi and Afghani translator Ajmal Assadullah. She wished all the injured a speedy recovery.
She reiterated the UAE's determination to pursue its humanitarian role in the world, stressing that terrorists and extremists would not be able to deter its efforts in this direction.
Dr Al Qubaisi said the UAE appreciated the role of its heroes who had proved their patriotism and loyalty towards the nation
