U.S former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright expressed her readiness to register as a Muslim in protest against the measures that U.S President Donald Trump promised to take to prevent the entry of Muslims to the country.
Albright said, on her Twitter account, “I was raised as Catholic, became Episcopalian and found out later my family was Jewish. I stand ready to register as Muslim in solidarity.”
She stressed that America should be open for all religions and different backgrounds.
In the same context, American actress Mayim Bialik took the same way, as she expressed readiness to convert to Islam if the U.S president insisted on his decisions.
She said, on her Twitter account, “I am Jewish. I stand ready to register as a Muslim in solidarity if it comes to that.”
