HH Southern Governor Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali Al Khalifa paid a visit to the Royal University for Women and attached great importance to investment in education and human resources as the latter represent a vital factor in the construction and development of societies.
The governor said Bahrain has made great strides in women’s education and empowerment, highlighting governorate’s keenness to promote activities for uplifting women’s status in various fields.
He praised the university’s educational level that makes it a standout player in the region. He urged the student to seek knowledge and follow the steps of Bahraini pioneering women.
The two sides discussed cooperation on the governorate’s preparation for celebrating Bahraini Women's Day in December.
University President Prof. Mazen Juma' gave a brief on the university's higher education programmes, academic cooperation with international universities and educational institutions and steps taken to empower women and build their personality.
The University Board of Directors lauded the governor’s efforts to communicate with various segments of society.
