Shamma bint Sohail Faris Al Mazrouei, Minister of State for Youth Affairs, has presided over the first meeting of the Emirates Youth Council to discuss and the specialties and objectives of the approved new Board by the UAE Cabinet as well as its future work plans.
At the beginning of the meeting, she welcomed the Board members and congratulated them on choosing them to represent the youth in the Council. Al Mazrouei wished that the Council would be a supportive factor for the wise government as well as to achieve its vision.
The minister extended thanks and appreciation to President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, for their confidence in the Emirati youth and choosing them to back the government of the future and empowering them to serve the homeland.
She also added that the youth has huge responsibilities in the coming stage to accomplish the leadership's vision and the aspirations of the UAE youth through supporting them to involve in the society with all its sectors.
The meeting also discussed specialties and objectives of the Council as well as setting a future strategy which is in line with the future trends of the country, identify the challenges facing young people and propose solutions and the appropriate programmes.
They also tackled other issues on the agenda of the meeting.
