A new book documenting the achievements of H.H. Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of the General Women's Union, Supreme President of the Family Development Foundation, and Head of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, was released by the Abu Dhabi-based Emirates Centre for Strategic Studies and Research on the occasion of the UAE's 44th National Day.
In nine sections, the new book authored by Dr. Maytha bint Salem Al Shamsi, Minister of State, covers more than four decades of achievements by Sheikha Fatima, also known as Mother of the Nation, as well as her effective efforts in spheres like family and social development, women empowerment, healthcare, humanitarian aid, education, promotion of peace, sustainable development and supporting children and mothers.
The book, entitled "Fatima bint Mubarak: Principles and Achievements," was released in both Arabic and English.
The book highlights Sheikha Fatima's re-launch of the National Strategy for Empowerment of Emirati Women in the UAE ( 2015-2021) earlier this year to provide a framework for government, private sector and civil organisations to apply to work programmes to provide a decent living for women
