Dr. Amal Abdullah Al Qubaisi, Speaker of Federal National Council, FNC, has briefed Turkmen diplomats on the agenda of the Global Summit of Women Speakers of Parliament, to be held in Abu Dhabi on 12th and 13th December, under the patronage of H.H. Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of the General Women’s Union, Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation and President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood.
In a meeting with the Charge d’Affaires of the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Abu Dhabi, Al Qubaisi discussed ways of enhancing bilateral relations and issues of mutual concern in all spheres, in line with the vision and approach of the two countries’ leadership and the people.
The FNC speaker noted that the event would be held under a main theme titled "United for Shaping the Future".
A total of 52 women speakers of parliaments from around the world will take part in the summit, deemed to be the first of its kind in the parliamentary history globally.
Al Qubaisi further stressed the importance of bolstering parliamentary relations between the FNC and the Assembly of Turkmenistan.
