An Egyptian delegation led by head of the National Council for Women Maya Morsi took part in the opening session of 60th round of the UN Commission on the Status of Women (CSW) in New York.
The round kicked off on Monday and will run until March 24.
On the sidelines of the opening session, the delegation participated in a meeting on the climate change and its effects on the women, Morsi said in statements.
This year's round is held under the rubric "women's empowerment and its link to sustainable development," she added.
