Egypt's Embassy in Vienna under Ambassador Khaled Shamaa is taking part in the 47th session of the Annual Charity Bazaar at the UN Headquarters to raise funds for disadvantaged children and women around the world.
Director General of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) LI Yong opened the bazaar yesterday in the presence of the Egyptian ambassador in Vienna Khaled Shamaa along with a host of Arab and foreign ambassadors and members of the various diplomatic missions and senior officials.
The Egyptian pavilion at the bazaar, which showcased various Egyptian products attracted a large turnout of Geneva-based diplomats and officials.
In statements to MENA, Shamaa voiced happiness for the high turnout at the Egyptian pavilion, adding that the visitors were impressed by the various Egyptian products.
Last year’s UN international bazaar raised funds for 60 projects for women and children in 38 countries.
