Under the patronage of H.H. Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, the Emirates Women Police Association (EWPA) is organising tomorrow the 3rd Regional Conference of Women Police.
The event will be held in the capital Abu Dhabi under the theme: "Women Police .. The Leadership of Sustainable Development."
The conference will be held at the Convention Center at the new Zayed University in Khalifa City for three days. It will witness a wide international participation of women Police delegations, representatives of 26 regions that include many countries, as well as the Board of Directors of the International Association of Women Police (IAWP), along with representatives of competent authorities and bodies of women police.
It will see the participation of an elite group of specialized local, regional and international police and security experts and academics. The Conference will tackle several themes, including creativity, innovation and combating intellectual extremism; electronic crimes and corruption in organizations; ways to develop women police skills; and countering drugs. A number of officers from the Ministry of Interior will participate in the workshops that will be organized during the conference.
An exhibition will be organised on the sidelines of the conference to highlight the achievements of women police around the world and the achievements of Arab women police. The exhibition will also highlight the professional achievements and heroic and distinguished deeds made by women police members during their career, which reflect their excellence and courage while carrying out their duties.
