Sheikha Fatima Bint Hasher bin Dalmouk, President of Sawaed Al Khair Foundation, opened the 10th edition of Almas Bazar Exhibition on Friday. The special annual women’s exhibition is taking place at The Address Dubai Mall hotel, and will continue till March 13th.
The exhibition, which is graced by many social representatives, celebrities, wives of consuls, designers, and artists, celebrates ten years of success this edition, under the slogan, "Arab Women’s Ultimate Destination." It also co-occurs with the celebrations of the International Women’s Day and the Mother’s Day.
Sheikha Fatima, in the opening speech, praised the efforts of H.H. Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of the General Women's Union (GWU), Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation (FDF) and President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, in empowering the Emirati and Arab women, and for showing concerns that have got reflected in the huge development that women have experienced in various fields across the nation.
"We are impressed by the serious and active work that women have done in various fields of the country, with the support of the leadership."
Sheikha Fatima toured the exhibition along with Zainab Iskandar, the Head of the organising committee of Almas Bazar, and Dalal Al Bahrani, the General Supervisor of Almas Bazar. Sheikha Fatima also learnt about the products and services being offered by the participants.
She expressed her full appreciation for the quality of the products at Almas Bazar, and also for the present edition in comparison to the previous ones.
Zainab Iskandar said, "Almas Bazar of 2016 has got a very special prestige because of the collaboration of Sawaed Al Khair Foundation and Sheikha Fatima bint Hasher who supports variety of social welfare and women’ issues." She informed that there are 70 exhibitors and participants from different Arab nations, including those from the Gulf region.
After the tour, Sheikha Fatima honoured the sponsors of the event; National Bonds, Lootah Perfumes, Lash Dubai as the golden sponsors. Wellness by Design clinic and Al Manara Medical Specialist Centre, were honoured as the silver sponsors, in addition to White Jasmine Beauty Salon for ladies and Coco Jalila Chocolate.
Speaking at the event, Mohammed Salah, Head of Corporate and Wealth Management at National Bonds Corporation, said, "It is our pleasure to sponsor Almas Bazar that supports Emirati women with the best types of assistance. We believe in her role in making a change and participating in social and sustainable economic development."
Participants are from UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, Iraq, Lebanon, and Canada. The focus of the current edition of Almas Bazar is to involve productive families in collaboration with Sawaed Al Khair Foundation.
In line with the slogan of the exhibition, "Arab Women’s Ultimate Destination," Almas Bazar is taking care of the health and wellness of women through medical centres that is offering medical consultations and treatment offers to visitors. Other participants are offering a variety of fashion designs, perfumes, accessories, beauty cosmetics and jewellery.
The three-day exhibition expects to receive more than 5000 visitors.
