U.S. News and World Report’s has ranked University of Wisconsin graduate programs among the highest in the country again in its 2015 edition of the “Best Graduate Schools.” U.S. News analyzed a variety of disciplines across 11 fields, from more than 1,300 schools in their newest rankings, according to a university statement released Tuesday. UW placed very highly in the categories of business, science, education, engineering, law and medicine. Some of the more highly rated programs included education at fifth place, chemistry at ninth place, computer science at 11th, statistics at 12th, mathematics at 14th and earth sciences at 13th, each within their respective categories. The School of Business, College of Engineering, School of Medicine and Public Health, the graduate program in physics and the graduate program in biological sciences all placed in the top 30 overall. UW Law School just missed this bracket with No. 31 ranking. “We’re proud that so many of these graduate programs have once again ranked so highly,” Provost Paul Deluca Jr. said in the statement.
