H.H. Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, today received Robert Hill, Chair of the advisory board for the Global Change Institute at the University of Queensland.
During the meeting they exchanged views on environmental protection and sustainable development. The Ruler of Sharjah highlighted the emirate's efforts in the preservation of the environment and biodiversity.
Prof. Hill briefed him on similar programmes carried out by the Global Change Institute in Australia, hailing Sheikh Sultan's role in the environmental sustainability.
The visit was aimed to strengthen scientific relations and mutual cooperation as well as activating the earlier agreement between Sharjah Research Academy and the Global Change Institute.
The meeting was attended by Amr Abdul Hamid, Director of the Sharjah Research Academy.
