University of Bahrain (UoB)'s academic researcher Maisoon Nizam Awadh won the GCC-sponsored "Prince Nayef bin Abdul-Aziz Security Research Award2013" for her research titled "GCC Youths: Security Awareness Versus Challenges". Maisoon shared the prize with researchers who from other GCC countries. She said the arbitrators praised the content, recommendations and outcomes of her work in which she used recognized theoretical and practical methodology for assessing human behaviours, preventative health and applied that on behaviours of Bahraini youths and awareness programmes issuing from various community organizations. This study is a new contribution to GCC libraries. The award aims to boost security cooperation and integration between member countries, encourage GCC researchers and specialists, direct efforts, address security phenomena and snags, evolve new concepts and studying trends whilst taking whilst into consideration comprehensive security.
