The University of Bahrain (UoB)'s Deputy Chancellor for Academic Programs and Higher Studies, Dr. Khalid Bu Ghahhoos, stated that at least 100 professors from the UoB's academic staff had participated in supervision programs over higher studies' projects in two training workshops in addition to a seminar on supervision over thesis presented to obtain postgraduate degrees.These programs came as part of a series of programs of the committee on developing academicians in line with the University's five-year strategy throughout the period 2009/2014 intended to raise quality of education and learning through initiatives of teaching staff members and to improve their performance, capacity and also to increase students' knowledge and improving the overall standard of knowledge gathering.The first workshop included the training of 23 instructors meanwhile the second workshop focused on the theme of (leadership and supervision) during which at least 27 academicians were training on leadership methodology, the role of a professor in modern educational process.
