The Faculty of Law at the University of Jordan (UJ) yesterday honored a number of outstanding students in addition to students of development, trials and debates Club and freshmen. Dean of the Faculty of Law, Prof. Tariq Hammoury said: "The honoring aims to recognize the students’ efforts and encourage them to continue on their paths and become the ambassadors of their university to the various regions of the country." Moreover, Hammoury called the new students to participate in student activities; join the trials and debates club at the Faculty, avoid differences and focus on areas of convergence and compatibility. Hammoury provided the new students with a brief description of the college, establishment, and its goal to contribute effectively to the building of the state of law and institutions by instilling the values of justice, truth and equality in the minds of students and providing higher quality graduates who are able to carry the message of truth and justice through the correct understanding of the provisions and the spirit of law. At the end of the ceremony, Hammoury distributed certificates of excellence to almost 100 outstanding students. It’s worth mentioning that the Faculty of Law was founded in 1967 and includes two sections, public and private law sections, and 37 faculty members. Source: University of Jordan
