The Employment and Training Fair kicked-off at Sultan Qaboos University (SQU) today under the patronage of Sheikh Khalid bin Omar al-Marhoon, Minister of Civil Service. Dr Ali bin Saud al-Bimani, SQU Vice-Chancellor said that the fair aims at giving the governmental and civilian establishments the opportunity to display the job vacancies they have for fresh graduates from SQU and other universities and colleges inside and outside the Sultanate. 58 governmental and civilian institutions from inside and outside the Sultanate participate in the fair, which continues until next Tuesday. The Public Authority of Manpower Register participates in the fair with the aim of educating and mentoring students of their rights and obligations in labour market. These institutions provide more than 1150 job and training opportunities, of them 779 to graduates of Sultan Qaboos University.
