Cairo University President Gaber Nassar asserted on Sunday the university’s keenness on scientific research and funding research projects that give priority to society.
This came during the delivery of the funding contracts of the first phase of the applied scientific research projects to a number of teaching staff in various faculties within the university’s 2015-2016 strategic plan for scientific researches.
The university is committed to support scientific research and researching projects that serve the society in various developmental fields, Nassar said.
Meanwhile, the university’s vice president Amr Adly said that the funding of the first phase cost EGP 5.2 million, adding that applied researches tackle endemic diseases, food and agriculture needs, alternative energy, slums and wastewater treatment.
