New higher education opportunities in Canada will be presented to the visitors of the second Education Show, on November 5 and 6 in Algiers, the chargé d'affaires at the Canadian embassy in Algiers, Miriam van Nie.
The show, open to students, parents and teachers, will be a "space for exchange and discovery of the different opportunities offered by the Canadian education system, one of the best in the world," the representative of Canada embassy told a news conference.
During the event, 15 Canadian institutions, including 10 universities and colleges, will be represented to explain and promote their diversified study offers, the speaker said.
The courses of study concerned include tax system, management, business, environment, computer science, finance, medicine, arts and hotel industry.
Of 5000 Maghreb students who have studied in Canadian universities in 2013, about 1000 are Algerians, most of them in computer science, and to a lesser extent linguistics, environment, aeronautics, medicine.
The 2nd Education Show in Canada is expected to pave the way for partnerships between Algerian and Canadian universities.
