Dozens of graduates of the College of Education in Ismailia smashed the façade of the province’s council office with stones during a protest. The graduates felt they were excluded from the new job appointments announced by the Ismailia Education Sector. The protesters said they have stepped up their protests because Jamal Embaby, Governor of Ismailia, procrastinated in meeting them and listening to their demands. They said that the new appointments announced by the Directorate of Education were confined to new graduates, leaving out old graduates with high qualifications. They also objected to conditions confining the appointments to those who are originally from Ismailia, confirming that they have submitted papers proving they are residents of the county.
