An honest school pupil has been honoured by police after he returned a large sum of money.
Emirati youngster Nasir Sharif found the foreign currency at a Sharjah petrol station but did not hesitate in handing it over to police.
The director of the Criminal Investigation Department at Sharjah Police, Col Ibrahim Al Ajil, said Nasir was only intent on finding the owner of the money and returning it to them.
"His actions and behaviour are a good example of a secure and safe society. We urge all community members to follow his example and return lost items to its owners," said Col Al Ajil.
