China's Ministry of Education published an ethic standard on Monday for the country's college teachers, asking them to "resolutely oppose" any academic misconduct and dishonesty. The standard also told the teachers to take a stand against acts of abusing of research resources and academic influence. This standard should be integrated into the criterion for the teachers' assessment, award and promotion, and those who failed to perform accordingly should be vetoed in the assessment, the ministry said in a statement on its website. The teachers should not do harm to the national interests and the healthy future of the students, the standard said, adding that they are also banned from doing part-time job that would impact their teaching at school.
