Algeria is “willing” to extend its cooperation with Mali in the field of higher education and scientific research, said Sunday in Algiers Higher Education and Scientific Research Minister Mohamed Mebarki.
“Algeria is willing to extend its cooperation with Mali in higher education and scientific research to raise it to the level of the good relations between the two countries in the political, diplomatic and economic fields,” said Mabarki following his discussions with a Malian parliamentary delegation.
He underlined that proposals were made in this regard, particularly on twinning between the universities of the two countries and the joint research projects in several sectors.
Mebarki pointed out that this meeting allowed “reaffirming Algeria’s willingness to continue efforts in favour of the promotion of the Algerian-Malian relations.”
For her part, Head of Foreign Affairs, Malian Nationals and African Integration Committee at the Malian National Assembly Diallo Aïssata Touré hailed the “willingness of the Algeria State to support the Malian people” in the process of the dialogue aimed at establishing the peace and development of the country.
