The Mohammed bin Rashid School of Government, MBRSG, a research and teaching institution focusing on public policy in the Arab world, has re-launched its website to reflect its growing status as a knowledge repository for the U.A.E. government and society.
Integrating the school’s renewed approach to its educational programmes, the portal is in line with MBSRG’s aim to attract and retain new and existing users from the private and public sectors, as well as the wider regional academic arena.
The new website will help reinforce the strategic vision and new branding for MBRSG. It will also enable easy access to information and facilitate two-way communication with users via computers and smart devices. Content on the new website is available in both English and Arabic.
Dr. Ali Sebaa Al Marri, MBRSG Executive President, said, "We are keen to engage with our stakeholders on a deeper level and are confident that the new website, coupled with our social media platforms, will allow us to strengthen our communication with them." A news section has been added to keep web-users updated with the latest relevant stories. The portal facilitates content and image sharing via social media and reciprocally hosts feeds from similar networking platforms.
Mohammed Al Khatib, Director of Corporate Communication at MBRSG, said, "This is a translation of our strategic goals of increasing our outreach and engaging various demographic groups in a smart knowledge transfer medium. We have further plans to focus on social media and applications of smart government, smart education and knowledge.
"Our website is no longer simply an information tool. We have moved away from a strictly information disseminating model to an interactive one seeking to maximise stakeholder engagement across all cross-sections." Salha Bu-Kattara, e-Marketing and Communication Manager at MBRSG, said, "The new portal focuses on appealing to the visitor’s sensibilities and ensures interactivity through sharing and transferring knowledge and adding value to research and public performance." "In addition to the website, MBRSG is active on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube and Instagram. The school also releases regular podcasts, offering audiences constant and convenient access to lectures, debates and seminars," Bu-Kattara added.
