Yemen and the United States discussed here on Tuesday the bilateral cooperation relations, particularly in the academic field.
During their meeting, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Hesham Sharaf and US ambassador to Yemen Matthew Tueller reviewed the mutual cooperation in the competitive scholarships for granted to the United States to Yemeni students in postgraduate studies and English language.
Sharaf valued highly the US ambassador's efforts to develop the mutual relations between Yemen and the US as well as offering more educational opportunities to Yemeni students in various specialties, requesting for additional scholarships in postgraduate studies.
For his part, Tueller said that he would convey the Minister's request for more scholarships to the competent authorities in the United States.
