Ambassador Obaid Salem Al Zaabi, U.A.E.'s Permanent Representative to United Nations and Other Organisations in Geneva, has presented a draft resolution to Human Rights Council (HRC) on girls' equal right for education.
The draft resolution was presented in the framework of the third item of the agenda of the 27th session of the HRC, held from 8 - 26 Sept. The draft resolution entitled: "A panel discussion on girls' equal right for education," called on the HRC to convene a panel discussion with a view to share lessons learned and best practices at the international level in the field of girls' education.
Ambassador Al Zaabi said that the U.A.E. is keen to contribute to boosting the girls' education through concerted international efforts to provide quality education. He added that the draft resolution comes as a culmination to the U.A.E.'s membership in the HRC.
The U.A.E.'s draft resolution was supported unanimously by the Human Rights Council
