North Sinai Governor Abdel Fattah Harhor underlined the importance of taking security measures around schools to protect the lives of students.
The governor's remark came during his meeting held Thursday with leaders of Education Ministry in the governorate and Education Ministry Undersecretary Hassan Hegazi.
Harhor underscored that security measures will be beefed up around schools, adding that cars will be banned from stopping near schools.
He said that the explosive charge that was defused near schools complex in Arish Wednesday is a terrorist act that aims at spreading chaos and fear among citizens.
