The European Academy of Sciences and Arts granted HRH Prince El Hassan bin Talal the 2014 Tolerance Award, in a ceremony held in the German city of Cologne.
The Award came in recognition of Prince Hassan's continued efforts to promote the values of humanitarian tolerance, accept others and enhance intercultural communication, as well as his long-term contribution and commitment to deepen mutual understanding between nations and peoples.
HRH advisor Said Alloush received the award on behalf of the Prince, in the ceremony that was also attended by members of the Academy, in addition to a number of senior politicians and media figures.
The Academy also presented the award to André Azoulay, the Moroccan King's German media adviser, and Hubert Burda, one of the world most prominent figures in journalism and E-Media in Europe.
The European Academy of Sciences and Arts is a learned society of around 1,500 top scientists and artists who approach the questions facing Europe and the globe in various colloquia and publications. Among its members are 29 Nobel laureates.
