The Higher Institute of Energy being awarded academic accreditation for its programs is a 'quantum boom in education and a source of pride for Kuwait", said Director-General of the Public Authority for Applied Education and Training (PAAET) Ahmad Al-Athari.
Al-Athari congratulated in a press statement the staff of the Higher Institute of Energy, an PAAET affiliate, on wining academic accreditation for nine of its programs from the American Academy for Liberal Education (AALE).
The achievement, the first in the Middle East, has been the outcome of hard efforts exerted by the training and administrative cadres at the Institute, led by director Omar Al-Hamdan, in cooperation with the Quality and Accreditation office, he noted.
The Institute was previously granted academic accreditation for its program for maintaining transformer stations.
Among the accredited programs come electricity networks technology, operating technology for turbines and boilers, maintaining water networks technology and water treatment, Al-Athari said.
