Education Minister Dr. Majid bin Ali Al-Nuaimi emphasised that the Ministry follows its plan to develop academic buildings to meet the increasing demand for construction of schools all over the Kingdom's areas.
The construction of new buildings goes according to plans, priorities, academic regulations, requirements and international standards to provide more educational services in all governorates. Plans aim to provide a seat for each and every student closest to their place of domicile.
The Ministry of Education (MoE) and the Ministry of Works (MoW) jointly began the construction of a primary girls' school in Wadi al-Sael according to green buildings' technology in the Southern Governorate on a space of 28,673 square metres in consideration for BD 3,759,499.
Ministry of Works (MoW)'s Assistant Undersecretary for Projects Construction and Maintenance said that the school foundation work reached 60%, the electricity substation 50%, and the main gates, watchman's room, water tanks. The overall project implementation reached 17%, she added.
