HM King Mohammed VI, accompanied by HRH Prince Moulay Rachid, TRH Princesses Lalla Salma, Lalla Meryem, Lalla Asmae and Lalla Hasnaa, and HH Prince Moulay Ismail, chaired, on Friday at the Royal School in the Rabat Royal Palace, the ceremony of the end of school year 2013-2014.
The ceremony, which was attended by Their Highnesses the Princes and Princesses, started by verses of the Holy Quran recited by HRH Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan.
HRH Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan gave afterwards a speech before the sovereign wherein he expressed, on his behalf and that of his sister HRH Princess Lalla Khadija and their classmates, his great honor and joy for HM the King's benevolence and solicitude for this ceremony.
"This school year was exceptional as we learnt, thanks to our teachers, new things, relying on oneself and fulfilling our obligations in an atmosphere of healthy and brotherly competition," said HRH the Crown Prince.
"Your continuous action to serve the Nation teaches us the love for the motherland and abnegation, and prompts us to strive doubly hard to achieve our aspirations," added HRH the Crown Prince.
Afterwards, HRH Princess Lalla Khadija played a piano piece.
HRH the Crown Prince and HRH Princess Lalla Khadija, along with their classmates, gave artistic performances in Arabic, French, Spanish and English.
The school headmaster Aziz El Houcine gave also a speech before HM the King wherein he expressed, on his behalf and that of the school staff, his pride and joy for the sovereign's attendance and solicitude for this ceremony.
On the same occasion, HM the King handed the prize of excellence and best student to HRH Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan.
The sovereign also gave the prize of encouragement to student Al Mountassir Billah Arrouh, the second to Adam Chouaouta and the third to Mohamed Belmansour.
HM the King also awarded the first prize of honor to Moulay Amine Tazi, the second to Lamine Ait Idda, and the third to Soufiane Choukraoui.
HM the King gave the prize of progress to student Mohamed Ichou.
The sovereign also gave the prize of excellence and congratulations to HRH Princess Lalla Khadija.
The sovereign also handed the second, third and fourth prizes of congratulations to Marwa Abousfiane, Lilia Meziane and Hiba-Amal Waled respectively, and the prize of honor to Nisrine Saber.
The ceremony was attended by head of government Abdelilah Benkirane and minister of national education Rachid Belmokhtar.
