His Highness General Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the U.A.E. Armed Forces, and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council, has issued a decision on the scholarships and school holidays in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.
The resolution aims to unify and regulate the management of scholarships' affairs and school holidays in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, as well as follow up of the scholars affairs to upgrade their academic and cultural standards so as to provide the public agencies with cadres they need in all disciplines to meet objectives of the Emirate.
The decision stipulates that the Abu Dhabi Education Council is the competent authority in the emirate to prepare a strategic plan and general policy for the regulation and management of the scholarships both inside or outside the State, and follow up all related matters in this respect to upgrade the scientific and cultural development in all disciplines that meet the objectives of the emirate.
