Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab has assigned Education Minister Moheb el Rafie to finish school maintenance before the beginning of the coming school year.
The premier also asked the minister to place schools at slum areas on top of the priorities in the repair works.
El Rafie said he met with the Minister of Urban Development Laila Iskander to discuss financing such repair works.
The maintenance of schools will start immediately in cooperation with the civil society organizations operating in the area in addition to the banks operating in Egypt, the minister added.
The minister presented a report on the Thanawiya Amma (Secondary School Certificate) exams and exam leaking.
