Kuwaiti Minister of Education and Higher Education Bader Al-Essa has arrived here to attend a Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) educational meeting due on Thursday.
Speaking to KUNA upon arrival, the minister stressed the importance of this meeting to the setting of basics and priorities for educational fields and promoting and bolstering inter-GCC cooperation.
Since the GCC countries have almost the same curricula, such gatherings are of paramount significance to developing their educational system, he added.
The minister was received at the airport by Qatari Minister of Education and Higher Education Mohammad Al-Hammadi, Kuwaiti Ambassador in Qatar Metaeb Al-Mutawtah and several Kuwaiti diplomats.
The preparatory meeting of the Undersecretaries of the GCC Education Ministries kicked off here earlier in the day ahead of the first meeting of the committee of the GCC Education Ministers.
