The Kuwaiti Ambassador in Tirana Najib Al-Bader has inaugurated a new Kuwait-funded school in the Western Albanian Province of Durres.
The Kuwaiti Embassy has supervised the construction and equipping of the "Kuwait School" which was built by a grant from the Kuwaiti government, said Ambassador Al-Bader in a press statement sent to KUNA Wednesday.
He pointed out that the school, which can accommodate 400 students, comprises 14 classes, serving students in the kindergarten, primary and elementary levels.
Al-Bader stated that the school was equipped with sophisticated educational technological tools and specialized laboratories.
He underlined Kuwait's eagerness to continue its support and finance to development projects in Albania, especially in the education and healthcare sectors.
For his part, Speaker of the Albanian Parliament Ilir Meta expressed appreciation of Kuwait's role in backing development projects in his country.
He also thanked the Kuwaiti Ambassador Al-Bader and other embassy staff on their role to boost Kuwaiti-Albanian friendship relations.
