An outlawed progressive teachers' union demanded Monday the revision of the law used against it after a court accepted last week its request to challenge the statute's constitutionality.
"We urge labor and education ministers to settle the confusion in educational circles through dialogue," the Korean Teachers and Education Workers Union (KTU) said during a news conference at a union office in Seoul. "For this, we demand a formal meeting with the ministers."
The union also denounced lawmakers for failing to enact a law necessary to resolve the dispute in the educational scene caused by the government's outlawing of the KTU.
