Iranian Science, Research and Technology Minister Reza Farajidana announced that open annual scholarships for PhD and Master’s degrees in Iranian universities will be provided for Syrian students.
Meeting Syria’s Ambassador in Tehran Adnan Mahmoud on Sunday, Farajidana said that Iran is ready to help rebuild Syrian educational facilities damaged by terrorist attacks and provide lab and tech equipment for them.
The two sides stressed the need to actualize scientific and cultural cooperation agreements to help deal with the challenges facing the higher education sector in Syria.
Back in January, Syria and Iran agreed to boost science and research cooperation via an executive cooperation program that involves providing scholarships, holding research courses, and networking.
