Security forces in North Sinai dismantled a fake bomb planted by unidentified men near a school in El Arish causing panic among students and locals.
A dubious body was reported near Zekri school in el Khazzan area in Arish on Wednesday, a security source at North Sinai Security Directorate said.
The fake bomb contained only three timers without explosives and was discarded. The area was combed in search for any bombs.
Meantime, Gharbiya Investigation Department Chief Abdel Latif el Hennawi denied reports posted by some websites on finding a suspicious body near the security directorate's building in Gharbiya.
These reports are groundless, he said, stressing that all vital facilities are secured.
