In line with the initiative launched by President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan to honor high achieving students, H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs and Deputy Chairman of Abu Dhabi Education Council (ADEC), will honor 150 Grade 12 top performing students across U.A.E. for the school year 2013-2014 during the ceremony to be held on Monday (tomorrow) at the Emirates Palace Hotel in Abu Dhabi.
Grade 12 Emirati and non-Emirati graduates who achieved a minimum score of 98 per cent in public schools and IATs (Institutes of Applied Technology) will be honored.
Top achievers will be selected as per the approved number of students in each educational zone/office UAE-wide. In addition, Emirati special needs top performers who achieved 95 per cent or more will also be honored.
On the occasion, Sheikh Mansour expressed his thanks and appreciation for the support, being given to education sector in the U.A.E., thanks to the directives of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa and his constant follow up for students in order to be the future leaders, who contribute to preserving gains of the nation.
He hailed the great development which is being witnessed in the educational system is a result of the sharp vision of His Highness General Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces and Chairman of ADEC.
Sheikh Mansour also congratulated outstanding students and expressed his pride, hailing students' persistence to overcome all difficulties to achieve the best results.
Hussain bin Ibrahim Al Hammadi, Minister of Education underscored the importance of this annual initiative which translates the great attention and support of the wise leadership of Sheikh Khalifa.
