Cabinet Spokesman Ambassador Hossam Qaweesh denied reports circulated on social media networks on the resignation of education minister he has come under fire after refuting claims of forgery of answer papers by a Minya-born student of Thanawyia Amma (secondary education certificate) who received zeros in all her final exams.
The spokesman said the Cabinet has recently warned against attempts to circulate fabricated reports on social media about the cabinet and officials of state bodies.
He called on all parties to check their sources before releasing any reports that might disrupt public opinion.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab phoned the zero-grade student Mariam Malak who has pleaded for the Public Prosecutor on the forging of their answer papers.
The premier agreed with the minister to provide all necessary experts to check the claims of Mariam and uncover facts about the issue.
Mariam's family decided to file a complaint Aug. 2 and the prosecutor referred the case to calligraphy experts to make a comparison between Mariam’s handwriting and the one provided in the answer sheets
