President of Mansoura University Mohamed el Qenawy discussed with UK Consul General to Egypt Caroline Alcock how the university can benefit from the Chevening scholarships offered by the UK.
During the meeting, Alcock underlined the importance of a memo of understanding signed recently by UK Minister of State for Universities, Science and Cities Greg Clark and Egyptian Scientific Research Minister Sherif Hamad to launch the Newton-Mosharafa Fund to promote scientific partnership between the two countries.
The Newton-Mosharafa Fund aims to bring together the British and Egyptian scientific research and innovation sectors to find joint solutions to the challenges facing Egypt in economic development and social welfare.
