Participants at the form for national dialogue on women's empowerment in Alexandria described education as a key instrument for reform in Egypt.
The forum was held under the title "Empowerment of Egyptian women: moving from recommendation to strategic implementation."
The main organizers of the forum include Bibliotheca Alexandrina, the National Council for Women (NCW) and the UN Women Egypt office.
It took up developing main aspects of a strategy for empowerment. The strategy included a legislative and institutional framework for supporting women in line with commandment to international conventions.
The participants urged more concentration from the state on education as a main track for reform and community development.
