Education Minister el Helaly el Sherbini has put at 212 the number of schools that will apply the Japanese system in the academic year 2018-1019.
A cooperation agreement was signed between the two countries to comprehensively reform public education in Egypt, Sherbini said in a statement Tuesday.
Under the agreement, Egypt should name a number of school to apply the Japanese system and should build new ones to become model schools, Sherbini noted.
Those should serve as branches of schools, that will bear the name of the "Egyptian-Japanese School", the minister added.
