Education Minister Dr. Majid bin Ali Al Nuaimi inaugurated today "Let's Plant" agricultural project at Al-Andalus Primary Girls School. He took part in planting 351 saplings of local trees and visited a drawing function held on the sidelines of the event where he got informed about the female students' drawings on agriculture.
The minister stressed the Education Ministry's keenness on encouraging students to protect the environment, pointing out that "Let's Plant" project comprises ten primary schools from across Bahrain and has more than 3000 students taking part in it.
The project, he added, aims to raise awareness of the importance of agriculture and green spaces at schools as well as inform students about local plants and trees.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by Education Ministry Undersecretary for Education and Curricula Affairs Dr. Abdullah Yousef Al Mutawa and officials.
